While my stories always end with happily-ever-afters and are mostly comfort reads, some contain elements that may be difficult for certain readers. Rookie Guardian
This book contains scenes involving cult manipulation and exploitation of minors, a medical emergency involving diabetes, fire danger with trapped victims, and law enforcement raids. Characters deal with past parental death in a car accident, family separation, teenage rebellion, and commitment fears. There are discussions of financial hardship and homelessness.
Christmas Newbie
In this book, parents have died, someone struggles with substance abuse, infertility is mentioned more than once, and there is an assault. My beta readers told me that this book pulled at their heartstrings in many ways, so please buy this book only if you’re ready to have a good cry.
Fresh Blood
This book contains scenes involving harassment and stalking, property destruction and arson, attempted grave desecration, physical assault, and the past death of an infant from congenital heart disease. Characters deal with emotional manipulation, divorce aftermath, and trust issues following betrayal. There are discussions of a prosthetic limb and past military injury.
Hometown Probie
This book contains scenes involving false accusations and criminal framing, a kidnapping attempt, drug dealing operations, and discussions of past substance abuse (character is in long-term recovery). The story also addresses small-town judgment and reputation struggles, along with an eleven-year age gap romance that characters work through together.
