So Many Steps by Ella Braeme
Ally needs to turn her life around before she ends up like her mother. Changing things is not all that easy, as handsome doctor Nathan occupies her mind more than he should.
Luckily, he gets on board and helps Ally – until he changes more about her life than anticipated.
In this novella, the love is sweet and the sizzle is hot.
Why did you write this book?
This is my very first author interview, and its very first question is the one I hoped nobody would ever ask. I don’t know why I’ve written this particular book. The characters crept into my imagination and took roots there. Is that answer good enough?
I can tell you why I chose to write romance, though. There were times in my life that were very stressfull and romance was a welcome relief, a short time off the things that bothered me. Now I am in a position to give back. I hope that my book offers that mini-vacation to other readers out there.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love romance. Over the years I have read so many sub-genres of it and settled mostly on contemporary small-town romance. That’s not to say I wouldn’t enjoy a suspense or paranormal romance every now and then.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I’m still miffed there were no entwives in LOTR.
What are you working on at the moment?
I have just finished another book. Nice Enough is my first book to be published. This has been a steep learning curve. So right now, I am on a well-deserved break. My husband treats me to a full week at the shore, and I guess I might start a new book as soon as I’m back at home.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
This is such a loaded question. As a first-time author, I don’t dare predict what you are going to see. So many things might go wrong. But if I have things my way, two of the side characters in Nice Enough will get their own happily-ever-afters. Still not ready to talk about it, though.
